We’re down to a mere two months before David Cage’s next inventive game experience Heavy Rain is rumored to hits store shelves. The deeply immersive title about three characters searching for notorious serial murderer, the “Origami Killer,” is set up to deliver a powerful narrative coupled with innovative gameplay.
Now, developer Quantic Dream has announced that Heavy Rain will be getting a series of character-specific playable “short-stories” as DLC. Dubbed “The Heavy Rain Chronicles,” the DLC chapters will explore events that occur before or after the timeline of the main game.
According to Jefferson Dong, SCEA marketing manager for Heavy Rain:
As many games tend to offer pre-order players bonus skins or gold colored guns, “Heavy Rain: Chronicle One” is definitely one of the more appealing pre-order bonuses in recent history.
With God of War III en route, Heavy Rain may not be the most anticipated game of 2010, but it certainly stands to be one of the best.
