If fans purchase Pokemon Sword and Shield in-store at a Walmart location near them, they can pick up either Sword or Shield for $49.94, a whopping $10 off the normal price. A double pack will also be available for $99.98, which will get them Sword and Shield together for $20 off its normal price.

Deals like this rarely happen for brand new Pokemon games, and it is doubtful that anything better will pop up even on Black Friday, so whether players plan to purchase Sword and Shield for themselves or someone else on their Christmas list, it is highly recommended that they get the games for this price.
Those interested in this deal should plan to make their trip early as well since stores only receive a limited amount of physical copies of any one particular game on launch day, and once word of this deal gets around stores could sell out very quickly. This isn’t the first time Walmart has been a Switch owner’s best friend, as Luigi’s Mansion 3, Astral Chain, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses all received similar launch day discounts as well, and we expect more will come in the future.
Pokemon Sword and Shield releases this Friday, November 15th, 2019, for the Nintendo Switch.
